What are the values of Islam religion?
What are the Islamic values? And what are the moral values of Islam? the core Islamic values of Islam are divided into 6 articles of faith, which include:
Core Islamic Beliefs: Six Articles of Faith
1. Believe in one God (Allah).
The most important thing for Muslims is to and among the Islamic teachings is to believe and worship one God and he is Allah. And associating other Gods with Allah is a major sin. We can see that clearly in surah al-Ikhlas:
قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ١
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “He is Allah—One ˹and Indivisible˺;
Allah—the Sustainer ˹needed by all˺.
He has never had offspring, nor was He born.
And there is none comparable to Him.” [surah Ikhlas]
If the person dies while he still believes in other gods he will not be forgiven. Allah says in the holy Quran:
“Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers) there are no helpers.” [al-Maidah 5:72]
“And indeed it has been revealed to you (O Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)), as it was to those (Allah’s messengers) before you: “If you join others in worship with Allah, (then) surely (all) your deeds will be in vain, and you will certainly be among the losers.” [az-Zumar 39:65]
2. Belief in Angels.
Among the Islamic values and the teachings of Islam is that Muslims should believe in the existence of angels.
3. Belief in all Prophets.
One of the core values of Islam is to believe in all prophets sent by Allah. Muslims believe that Allah sent prophets to guide us to the right path. Starting from prophet Adam (peace be upon him) to prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
Additionally, the Islamic religion teaches us that Allah sent all the prophets with one message which is believing in one God, and he is the only one to worship and believe in.
4. Belief in the Books of God.
Among the Islamic values and believes is believing in all books that Allah revealed to the prophets (peace be upon them) like the Torah and the bible. However, Muslims believe that the original Scripture of these books was lost and distorted over time. The only Scripture that is still the same and has been fully preserved since it was revealed is the holy Quran.
Allah says in the holy Quran:
“It is certainly We Who have revealed the Reminder, and it is certainly We Who will preserve it.” [Surah Al-Hijr]
5. Belief in the Day of Judgment and the afterlife.
Islam teaches Muslims to believe in resurrection and the day of judgment. Muslims believe that life is just a test and in order to pass the test they should do good deeds, not commit sins, ask all for forgiveness whenever they do something bad, and worship Allah and do what pleases them.
Among the Islamic teaching Muslims should seek to do good deeds and not to get carried after their life’s desires. And if someone falls into a sin he should repent and ask Allah for forgiveness. Only then they will be rewarded in the afterlife. Additionally, Muslims believe in the day of judgment and that everyone will be held accountable for their deeds.
Allah says in the holy Quran:
ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۗ وَمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ حَدِيثًۭا ٨٧
“Allah, there is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. He will certainly gather all of you together on the Day of Judgment—about which there is no doubt. And whose word is more truthful than Allah’s?” [Al-Nisa: 87]
“O mankind! fear your Lord! For the convulsion of the Hour (of Judgment) will be a thing terrible! The Day ye shall see it, every mother giving suck shall forget her suckling-babe and every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): thou shalt see mankind as in a drunken riot, yet not drunk: but dreadful will be the Wrath of Allah.” (Al-Hajj, 1-2.)
6. Belief in Destiny and Divine Decree.
Among the Islamic values and teachings is believing that everything happens for a reason. Muslims believe that no matter what happens a person should be patient and have faith in Allah because Allah will not put someone in hardships that he can’t bear.
What are the principles and values of Islam?
Now we understand that the main Islamic values are, believing in one God, believing in all the prophets sent by Allah, believing in the holy Books of Allah, believing in angels, believing in the day of judgment and the afterlife, and believing in destiny.
But what are the principles of Islam and what are the Muslim values? There are certain practices and acts of worship that every Muslim should adhere to, and these acts of worship are called the five pillars of Islam.
The five pillars and the Principles of Islam are:
1. Declaration of Faith:
This refers to the saying “La ilaha illa Allah wa Muhammad Rasulullah”, meaning “There is no deity worthy of being worshiped except God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God”. Is also called shahada, it doesn’t just mean to say the statement of shahada but it must be truly from the heart.
2. Prayer:
There are five main prayers in Islam that Muslims perform daily, and they are Fajr, Duhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha.
Allah says in the holy Quran:
ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ ٣
“Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and donate from what We have provided for them” [Quran 2:3-4]
“Establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and bow down with those who bow down.” [quran 2:43]
“And seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, it is a burden except for the humble—” [quran 2:45]
“Establish prayer, and pay alms-tax. Whatever good you send forth for yourselves, you will ˹certainly˺ find ˹its reward˺ with Allah. Surely Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.” [quran 2:110]
Prayer or salat is one of the Islamic values that each and every Muslim should practice.

“Indeed, ‘prescribed charitable offerings’ are only to be given to the poor and the indigent, and to those who work on administering it, and to those whose hearts are to be reconciled, and to free those in bondage, and to the debt-ridden, and for the cause of God, and to the wayfarer.
